  • Q: As a seller, I’m being asked to fill out personal contact information. How and when will that be used?
  • The personal information that you provide on the Seller’s Property Profile is initially used by us so that we can contact you directly to verify that your request is valid and that you wish to use REAgentFinder.com’s service. It’s also an opportunity to answer any specific questions or concerns you may have about how the system works. After you have identified and chosen the real estate agents you wish to make contact with, your contact information will be exchanged. Your contact information is only given to the real estate agents you instruct REAgentFinder.com to share it with. Your personal information will never be given out, shared or sold to any other third party.
  • Q: The REAgentFinder.com Service sounds too good to be free. How do you get paid?
  • There is never a direct cost for you, the seller, to utilize REAgentFinder.com. As previously mentioned, there is no obligation on your part to choose a real estate agent from among those that respond to inquiries. In real estate transactions, it is customary for the listing broker to charge you a negotiated sales commission if and when your property sells. It is a normal and an industry-accepted practice for your listing agent to pay a referral fee to another broker for having been given the opportunity to earn your listing, and that fee is paid by your listing broker to REAgentFinder.com upon the successful sale of your home. REAgentFinder.com is a Massachusetts-based corporation and a licensed broker able to accept referral fees from your listing broker doing business anywhere in the United States.
  • Q: Who are the local real estate agents and brokers I may expect to receive online resumes and marketing plans from?
  • After we have verified with you the physical address of the property you wish to sell, we will select only those who are affiliated with a broker doing business in the same Zip Code as your property from a national email database of approximately 1.3 million licensed real estate agents. Those selected sales agents will be sent an email from REAgentFinder.com informing them that we have a prospective seller of a property with physical characteristics such as number of rooms, square feet of living area, estimated selling price and other information you've provided. The selected agents are encouraged to visit REAgentFinder.com and submit their resume using our user-friendly Resume Builder. With our Resume Builder, resumes can be customized to a real estate agent’s experience and qualifications but also be uniform in appearance and easy to compare by you, the seller. In addition to the resume, each agent is encouraged to create a more individually customized Marketing Plan where they have the opportunity to explain their standard services as well as unusual ways and methods that they employ as part of their toolkit to sell your home. REAgentFinder.com will send the email request to every real estate agent in your Zip Code that is on our database, so it’s possible that several hundred requests for proposals will be sent out, but of course, not everyone responds. Some agents may be too busy to answer and some may not be qualified to sell the type of home you have for sale. Those who do respond with their resumes and marketing plans will have taken the time to put their name in front of you, and they are the ones who feel they are best qualified to “earn your business.” Remember, you as a seller will be paying a lot of money out in the form of a sales commission to your listing broker so it’s quality you're looking for, not quantity.
  • Q: How is REAgentFinder.com different from the other websites that say they offer similar services?
  • REAgentFinder.com is totally unique in that every real estate agent that works in and is affiliated with a broker in your specific geographic area is given the opportunity to “compete” for your listing and to earn a commission by being your listing broker. Other systems sell a “territory”, or a Zip Code, to one or more sales agents for an upfront fee of several hundred dollars per year. Then, your inquiry is funneled to that agent(s) who will then have the exclusive right to the geographic area they purchased. You will hear from the agent(s) who were first in line to buy your Zip Code whether or not they are qualified or have the experience to handle your transaction. With REAgentFinder.com, you are the one who has total control over which real estate agents are selected. Any other system or competitor to REAgentFinder.com that is providing you with one, two or three agents to “choose from” but who has pre-selected or “screens” such agents has a different agenda.
  • Q: What if I don’t like the real estate agents or don’t want to work with those that have provided their resumes and marketing plans?
  • You are under no obligation to REAgentFinder.com to interview or ultimately hire any one of the agents that responds to you. The choice of ultimately forming a contractual agreement between you and your broker agent is a choice that is totally yours to make. In some instances where you’re looking to sell a house in a small or rural town next to a larger center of commerce, we know that you may not obtain enough responses to choose from. In that case, we will send out requests for proposals to a wider geographic area around the Zip Code where your property is located. This way, you should be able to view as many resumes and marketing plans as possible and we are confident that from among them you will find the most energetic and experienced real estate agent who will sell your home for the highest price in the optimal time frame according to terms that are most appropriate to you.
